Nacho Stax

Authentic music made with passion

Nacho Stax is a London based saxophone and guitar player, arranger and composer experienced in modern popular music genres such as funk, pop, rock, latin, afro-beat and other musical fields.

​

Having studied jazz saxophone at the French School of Music ATLA in Paris, and BMUS (Hons) Popular Music Performance at ICMP, The Institute of Contemporary Music Performance University in London, Nacho Stax has learnt side by side with great pioneers and teachers in the music industry and is now teaching and working with the new generation of upcoming artists in the UK.

Starting with electric guitar in his hometown, next to Madrid, he performed with several small artists that later on he left to take in professional training in Paris, France. There he surrounded himself with the best musicians and teachers of the local scene and studied hand to hand with them, performing live shows and eventually making it to festivals and some of the greatest venues in the city. Finally, seeking his own vision of music and taste, he moved to London to study music at The Institue of Comtemporary Music Performance. He finished his degree with first class honours, and getting private coaching, masterclasses and other teachings from some of the best musicians and teachers such as Audrey Ridley (String Arranger for Coldplay, Muse and others), Guthrie Govan (Guitar player for Hans Zimmer Orchestra), Jon Shone (Musical Director for One Direction), Lisa Canni (Award winning songwriter) and many other iconic names in the music industry.

Nacho has played in many bands and projects of the young generation of upcoming artists such as Vincent Bugozi (Tour around Sweden and Italy), Tarantola (Performed in Bristol and London), Ruby Hive (Performed at The Royal Albert Hall, in London), The Strangers (Performed a tour in Athens, Greece), The Sunglasses (Paris).

He has recorded his own original music in Abbey Road Studios with a 13 piece choir, he has recorded saxophone for international bands and has participated in the composition and arrangement of a great variety of projects.

​

Nacho Stax is currently in the creation of a strong community under a corporation called Stagewave, which is arranging and providing bands to dozens of small artists around London.
